Dubai-based real estate giant Damac Properties has arrived in Nairobi on a mission to promote its products to Kenya’s high net worth investors.

The company, which deals in the development and sale of luxury properties, will be among the businesses that will showcase their products during the forthcoming Kenya Homes Expo in Nairobi.

The four-day biannual event that is now in its 22nd edition will take place from October 22-25 at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) in Nairobi.

Damac Properties will promote Dubai and highlight the strong business environment for overseas investment in a bid to woo Kenya’s deep-pocketed investors into buying some of its Dubai homes.

The Dubai firm has a development portfolio of over 37,000 units at various stages of progress and planning, and it had delivered 14,375 homes as of June 30, 2015.

“Dubai remains one of the most attractive investment cities in the world,” says the firm’s senior vice president Niall McLoughlin.

“With a safe and secure environment, appealing business terms, stunning weather and some of the most beautiful homes anywhere, Dubai is well placed to attract overseas investment.”

The 22nd edition of the Kenya Homes Expo has attracted about 200 local and international exhibitors, including Chinese Avic International and Touchwood Furniture – also from Dubai.

The expo has over the years brought together hundreds of exhibitors offering innovative products and services that meet the needs of the vibrant real estate industry.

The event has attracted endorsements, partnerships and sponsorships from organisations such as the East African Portland Cement Company — the manufacturers of the Blue Triangle cement brand.

The theme of the forthcoming expo is “Secure your Dreams”, which resonates with a huge number of Kenyans whose major dream is to own a home.
